Route:

Run will start outside the Island ground at Kamarajar Salai / Marina Beach road. Participants to assemble in Island grounds.

Facilities on the route

Medical Aid: There will be medical stations along the course. Runners are advised to carry their own specific prescribed medicines.YOU MUST STOP RUNNING THE RACE IMMEDIATELY IF INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY A MEMBER OF THE OFFICIAL MEDICAL STAFF - this is in the inerest of your health and safety.

The following facilities are provided for Idea Chennai International Marathon City Run participants.

Water : Bottled water is available at drink stations along the course. Each drink station will be clearly marked.

Kilometer marks : Every kilometer.

Time : Digital clocks at Start Gate.

The Finishing Point

Finishing Point for all Run categories is at War Memorial.

The finish line is at War Memorial. As you cross the finish line do not obscure your running number bib with your arms, the race officials and the television will find it difficult to identify you. Once you cross the finish line, keep moving ahead towards resting area and the refreshment counters.

The finish is a secure area with no public access.

There is no time limit for completion of the City Run event. The public can have a theme and participate in the city run. For eg, the corporates can form a group and run with a specific theme.

The event crew will be stationed till 1.00 pm on 27th September, 2009 to receive you after your run.
