Facilities Arrangements on the route
The following facilities are available on the Idea Chennai International Half Marathon course for participants.
Water : Bottled water and energy drinks at drink stations along the course. Each drink station will be clearly marked.
Medical Aid: There will be medical stations along the course. Runners are advised to carry their own specific prescribed medicines. YOU MUST STOP
RUNNING THE RACE IMMEDIATELY IF INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY A MEMBER OF THE OFFICIAL MEDICAL STAFF – this is in the interest of your health and safety.
Refreshment Points - Refreshment items will be available along the Course.
Kilometer marks : Every kilometer.
Turning Point: Indication Board will show you each and every turning point visible.
Time : Digital clocks at Start Gate, Finish gate and on the lead vehicle.
Caution: If there is any discomfort, nausea or breathlessness the runner is advised to stop the race and seek medical assistance.

The Finishers
Finishing Point for all Run categories is at War Memorial.
The finish line is at War Memorial. As you cross the finish line do not obscure your running number bib with your arms, the race officials and the television will find it difficult to identify you. Once you cross the finish line, keep moving ahead towards resting area. Refreshments will be available at the counters closer to the finishing line.
The finish is a secure area with no public access.
Slow Runners
The time limit for completion of the Chennai Marathon race for men is 3 hours and for women is 3 1/2 hours from its start time. If you are still determined to reach the finish, please keep to the footpath and stay off the road and then move towards the finish line. The event crew will be stationed at war memorial till 1.00 pm on August 22,2009 to receive you at the finish.
Medical Examination Details:
Half Marathon runners have to compulsorily undergo Medical Examination and then collect Bib number.
